Jazz combo consisting of of members of the Mobile Infantry's Rasczak's Roughnecks. Sergeant Johnson (trumpet) "[lead] them mellow and sweet for hymns or tearing the steel right off the bulkheads, as the occasion required" (155-156). Mentioned in Robert A. Heinlein's 1959 novel Starship Troopers.
