The Beavers

Disco group consisting of the titular Castor canadensis of the animated Nickelodeon TV show The Angry Beavers. Voiced by Nick Bakay and Richard Steven Horvitz. In the "Same Time Last Week/Beaver Fever" episode (first aired 1 Mar. 1998), their song "Beaver Fever" becomes a big hit when it's recorded disco-style with backing by studio band Generic Hustle. Their album, Bark Album goes platinum and nabs them a spot on Disco-Rama, "the most ginchy, boss, groove thang on the tube." Then they claim to be bigger than sliced bread, start bickering over songwriting credits, record a failed follow-up, and it all falls apart.
