Band mentioned in Sonic Disruptors #5 (DC comic book mini-series written by Mike Baron, drawn by Barry Crain and John Nyberg), May 1988.

Their name is a reference to indestructible monsters the Karamanal of Zert, who "always sing before they feast," in the 1971 fantasy novel The Queen of Swords by Michael Moorcock.
