Bluesy country singer/songwriter used as an example in the 1994 nonfiction work The Songwriter's Market Guide to Song and Demo Submission Formats. Her "sample bio for a beginning performer" illustrates chapter five, on record companies.

She was born in Apalachicola, Florida and grew up in Orlando. Her performance at the Apalachicola Seafood Festival led to her recording an album in Nashville with songwriter Robert Smith. She also wrote some songs for Joe Shmoe on Arista Records.
