Leopold Zadek

Wealthy old concert pianist from the Story Comics horror comic book Dark Mysteries #1 (June-July 1951). Now wheelchair-bound and paralyzed except for one arm, he composed his own "Concerto for Right Hand."

His hot new wife Vania murders him, but is haunted by his spectre. The investigators determine he would have died soon anyway, as he had the very contagious fictional disease heptomia. They throw his body in a chest, and order fingerprints. Vania, wanted in another state, hides in the chest to avoid getting fingerprinted. She catches heptomia, and then Leopold's rigor mortis traps her in the chest, and then the chest is cremated, cause, you know, heptomia.

His name is also given as Zadec.
