The Wonders

Garage band made good in the 1996 movie That Thing You Do!. This band name was originally spelled The Oneders as a bit of wordplay, but it was constantly mispronounced as "The oh-NEED-ers". So the spelling was changed and the Beatle-esque-ish Wonders were born.

They break up, becoming literally one hit wonders.

In one scene, the guys get a part in a beach movie, playing the part of another fake band, Cap'n Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters.
