They first appear in Away Laughing on a Fast Camel (2004), where Georgia is smitten by Masimo, the Italian-American lead singer of the band.
The title man in the second book, On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God, is Robbie, lead singer of the band. The Stiff Dylans are also featured in the movie version of the first book, Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging.
