Jump to navigationJump to searchA Beatlesque quartet who landed via helicopter on Gilligan's Island in the "Don't Bug the Mosquitoes" episode (December 9, 1965). They came to get away from it all for a month.
Their names were Bingo, Bango, Bongo and Irving. The band was played by the group who actually performed the show's theme song, The Wellingtons, and Les Brown Jr.
They sing "Don't Bug Me" and "He's A Loser," and leave a copy of their album, The Mosquitoes at Carnegie Hall. They were popular before they castaways were shipwrecked, as Gilligan claims he had all their albums.
