The Rockston Trio

Possibly The Rockston Trio Starring Rickey Rock. Popular and successful folk music trio with multiple albums and multiple hits from the "Hootin' with the Rockston Trio starring Rickey Rock" story of Dell comic book Ponytail issue #7 (July-September 1964). Mr. Tonedef of Abominable Records tells them they've gotten a gold album for one million sales. They're presented with the award after singing "Squeelin' Sow Blues" on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Rickey was previously a solo rock artist, but here he's jumped genres from an Elvis-type to front this Kingston Trio-type band.
