Musical quartet composed of miniature hat-people from the bizarre live-action children's television series Lidsville (1971-1973). They live at the home of evil magician antagonist Horatio J. HooDoo (Charles Nelson Reilly). They pop out at random moments and play a very short, very repetitive song, usually just repeating whatever a character last said, or taunting HooDoo. Presumably they play for HooDoo's amusement (possibly they are enslaved), but he only ever seem to be annoyed with them.

In the "Old Hat Home" episode, they are normal sized, and back HooDoo, who sings a song about how great he is.

They appear in most, if not all episodes.

They are played by actors in full-body hat being costumes.

Lineup

  • red beret, vocals
  • red cowboy hat with mustache, drums
  • green top hat, keyboards
  • two-tone green knit hat/tobaggan hat/tugue (or possibly a tam o'shanter) with a reddish pom-pom, guitar

The band members appear to be unnamed, and the actors are not listed in the show's credits.

The band's name is a play on "hatband," a strip of cloth or ribbon that encircled most popular types of men's hats in the 19th and 20th centuries.
