Kimmy Schmidt and her roommate Titus Andromedon are members of the Columbia House Tape Club and receive their four cassette tape compilation Now That Sounds Like Music. To quote the liner notes, it's, "Music inspired by, but legally different from, the music you love."

One artist from this compilation tape is Art Smelly with his song, "I’m Convinced I Can Swim" (from the Soundtrack of Earth Jelly). The song is a close enough version of "I Believe I Can Fly" by the real life R&B singer R. Kelly. This episode is dedicated to the memory of Art Smelly, 1932-2015.

From the "Kimmy Meets a Drunk Lady!" episode (15 Apr. 2016) of the series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
