Opera understudy for the role of the Lord High Executioner in The Mikado in The Jester story of comic book Smash Comics #85 (October 1949).
He poisons the other performer to get the role so he and his two partners can rob a wealthy attendee of her famous diamond necklace. They snatch the diamond, then secretly hand it off to Brewster as they run through the stage
The Jester figures it out and applies the necessary beatings up.
