Running wacky Yiddish character played by Eugene Levy on SCTV. He's not normally musical. But in the parody of the 1980 film The Jazz Singer (16 October 1981), Sid is a successful smooth jazz saxophonist, who's adopted son Yissel Dithers (real singer Al Jarreau) sings on his tracks.

In a nice twist on the original, Yissel wants to give up singing jazz to be a Jewish cantor, much to his father's great disappointment.
