Singer at Club 44 from the "Date with the Devil" story of comic book Strange Mysteries #11 (May 1953). She's paired with masked singer Danny Ransom, whose face is disfigured from war injuries.
Danny falls in seriously unrequited love with Sylvia, and writes her a letter professing his love, planning to kill himself after his performance that night. But his evil manager Patterson intercepts the message, and sadistically rips off Danny's mask onstage. The crowd flees his hideous face, and an infuriated Danny strangles Patterson to death, goes mad, and turns himself in.
