Dan Macelroy

Trumpeter from the "Sound of Empty Dreams" story of romance comic book Teen Confessions #25 (October 1963). Loretta Howe is entranced by his playing at a dinner at the Swagger Club, and they start dating. He only plays on Saturdays, and his day job is insurance salesman. Money's tight and they're saving to get married, but Dan is caught bowling when he should be working, and borrowing money from Loretta's younger brother.

Then suddenly, Dan's drafted. Dan's still irresponsible with money, owing his whole company. They finally break up and stay broken up.
