Walker Jeannie Romantic Adventures.png

Fame-seeking daughter of famous vaudeville star Chuck Walker, from the "Song of My Heart" story of comic book Romantic Adventures #6 (January 1950).

Her father taught her her piano, singing, and tap-dancing, and wanted to add her to the act before his tragic early death. Jeannie quits her boring department store job and moves to New York seeking fame and fortune via her piano-playing, trying "to develop a boogie woogie style that would make me famous."

She meets real bandleader Buddy Rich and they start dating. He promises to help her career, but keeps putting her off. Then he finds out he's just stringing her along with no intention of helping her as he thinks she's talentless. She punches him in the jaw. Depressed, she tests her talent on agent Mac Burton, who tells her she has some talent but not enough. She gives up on fame and settles into a married life with busdriver Whitey Long.

The plot is suspiciously similar to the story of Jessica Johns which appeared the same year in a competing romance comic book.
