Classical Italian violinist who's career isn't doing so well from the convoluted "The Violin of Death!" story of comic book Weird Horrors #2 (Aug. 1952). Convinced owning a Stradivarius violin will fix all his problems, he and his accompanist Giovanni Monti are overheard by a weird blind beggar. The beggar promises Antonio a Strad, and they follow him back to his creepy cottage, where Antonio plays the Strad, shadowy figures begin to appear, the place catches on fire, and the beggar AND the cottage disappear, poof, along with the violin.

But now Antonio somehow knows how to get himself a Stradivarius! Just find the decaying skeleton of a member of the Stradivarius family, play evil violin music over his bones in the moonlight, magical re-clothing the bones in flesh, and force the resulting green-skinned horror to be your own personal zombie violin-maker! It's just that easy!

But then Antonio goes blind, and is compelled to travel to Genoa, where he lures another, unnamed concert violinist (an obscured poster might show his first name is "Bruno") with promises of a Stradivarius.
