Sonjak Police Comics.png

Kindly classical violinist-turned-villain from the "Music Hath Charms" story of Quality comic book Police Comics #40 (March 1945). His left arm is amputated after he is injured saving a kid from being run over. He goes mad, puts on a hook, and takes over a local gang of criminals. They kidnap the doctor who did the amputating (Dr. Kimber) and another doctor, Dr Barry, in a mad plan to force Barry to transplant Kimber's arm onto Sonjak. What Sonjak doesn't know is his goons plan to kill him and Kimber, and hold Barry for ransom.

Hero Manhunter stops the operation, and a sock in the jaw during the fight brings Sonjak to his senses, and he helps Manhunter defeat the gang. In the final panel, Sonjak has become a classical conductor.

Sonjak's first name is never given.
