Rick Hayes

Concert pianist from the "Mama's Apron Strings" story of romance comic book Darling Love #2 (December 1949-January 1950). He's controlled by his aristocratic, cold, and domineering mother, who thinks girlfriend Meg is a gold digger. This causes arguments between them, until at a baseball game, Rick risks his hands to deflect a foul ball headed for Meg's head. Recovering from the concussion, they recommit to each other and become engaged.
