In the "Sex Ed" episode (October 14, 2010) of sitcom The Office, Michael Scott's crazy ex-girlfriend Jan Levinson (Melora Hardin) says she has released an album of Doris Day covers on her own label: "How do I do it? Raise my daughter, work as director of office purchasing for this hospital and release an album of Doris Day covers on my own label? If I knew I’d tell you."
She also plays metafictional cabaret singer Jasmine Windsong in Michael Scott's amateur film, Threat Level Midnight (from the episode of the same title, February 17, 2011).
Actress Melora Hardin is a singer in real life, and has released three albums: Purr (2000), The Meloradrama (2008), All The Way To Mars (2010).
