In Frank Zappa's rock opera Joe’s Garage, Larry is a former member of Joe's garage band. As a roadie of Toad-O, he lures girls into humiliating sexual acts with the false promise of meeting the band. In order to impress girls, he and the other guys in the road crew have blues jam sessions on Toad-O's equipment. Larry sings and plays the harmonica.
