Composer (1906-1959) from Anthony Powell’s 12-novel series A Dance to the Music of Time (1951-1975). He first appears in Casanova's Chinese Restaurant, the fifth novel in the series, published in 1960, and set in 1928 or 1929.
He was based on real composer Constant Lambert.
