Protagonist Jessica is so inspired by seeing a sold-out Melody Power concert (latest album: Powerful) that she want to be a rock star too, and answers an ad from a batch of high schoolers looking for a singer for their new band, NRG.
Jessica becomes insufferably obsessed with rock stardom and imitates Power without realizing how terrible she sounds.
