A long touring and wandering musician (played by Kris Kristofferson) who returns home after 40 years to the wife and three sons he abandoned when he went on the road. Ex-wife Julia played by Frances Conroy; sons are: Warren (Val Kilmer), Boyd (Dwight Yoakam) and Brady (W. Earl Brown).
