Fictional Liverpool pop group from the cartoon strip in the Liverpool Echo between 1975 and 1977. Following various adventures, the group split at the height of their popularity in late 1977, after the major chart success of their single Goodbye Scottie Road.
In real life, the cartoon did not seem to capture the imagination quite so much, closing at the end of 1977 after 380 episodes. Some Liverpool comedians banded together to record the above song, which appeared on a compilation album by real Liverpool group The Hillsiders. Unlike the comic strip, its single release sank without trace.
