Calloway died in 1994, and so was not in the 1998 sequel film, ''Blues Brothers 2000''. We do get a bit of his backstory, though, as it is mentioned that prior to janitoriary, “he had a musical group, that toured the juke joints of the Midwest.” While on the road, he had an affair and a child with a married woman, who decided to keep the baby as her husband's. Devastated by this, Curtis came to the St. Helen of the Blessed Shroud Orphanage and cared for orphans for the rest of his life.
