AKA Vulcan harp, Vulcan lyre, Vulcan lyrette. Twelve-string electric musical instrument from the planet Vulcan in the original Star Trek series. Spock had one, and plays it well. He jams with space hippie Adam in "The Way to Eden" epidode (21 February 1969).
Spock is first shown playing it in the "Charlie X" episode (15 September 1966).
Fans have built real, functioning replicas, so now it's real. Mostly?
