This is one of two bands by this name featuring Fred Armisen. The other is at The Blue Jean Committee (Documentary Now!).

Groovy Northampton-based band that plays the Empty Glass bar in "The Blue Jean Committee," a sketch from the 19 Nov. 2011 episode of Saturday Night Live. The band (Fred Armisen, Jason Segel, Jason Sudeikis, and Kenan Thompson), who are all rocking Canadian tuxedos, play "Massachusetts Afternoon," which is filled with very specific local references that the crowd eats up.

Indie label Drag City later made the band real by releasing "Massachusetts Afternoon" as a split 7" with another Armisen fake band, The Fingerlings.
