From the Dudley Moore/Peter Cook movie Bedazzled (1967).
Moore strikes a deal with Satan (Cook), and as part of it becomes a wildly popular rock star. But Satan steals Moore's thunder and fans by becoming this redonkulously nihilistic and indifferent rock star. He "sings" "Bedazzled" on a TV show with a bunch of go-go dancers/back-up singers who may be the Vegetations.
The film was remade in 2000, but the rock star scene was left on the cutting room floor to appear only on the DVD; see Elliot Richards.
