One of the many fictional jazz outfits created by DJ/producer Madlib in the 2000s. The releases by these 'bands' on Stones Throw Records often looked and sounded as if they were vintage and discovered in a second-hand record store. Otis Jackson Jr. is the most obvious alias for Madlib, since that's his birth name, but in this context he had many more guises. The Otis Jackson Jr. Trio only has one record out, called "Jewelz", which appeared in 2007.
