A singer/songwriter from the obscure 1968 song "Going to the Country" by Mark Levine, from his album Pilgrim's Progress.
His girlfriend is Periwinkle Blue, she gets a whole song of her own on the album!
They only other character in the song, Willard Martyr, tries to get him to come to Rome.
Featuring guitar by a young Ry Cooder and piano by Wrecking Crew member Larry Knechtel.
