From the Dudley Moore/Peter Cook movie Bedazzled (1967).
Moore strikes a deal with Satan (Cook), and as part of it becomes a wildly popular rock star. But Satan steals Moore's thunder and fans by becoming this redonkulously nihilistic and indifferent rock star. He "sings" "Bedazzled" on a TV show with a bunch of go-go dancers/back-up singers who may or may not be the Vegetation.
The film was remade in 2000, but the rock star scene was left on the cutting room floor to appear only on the DVD; see Elliot Richards.
