Homer Simpson formed the band after the sight of a college-going Marge crushing on a professor gave him that grunge feeling. The rest of the band were the other members of the New Jack Soul band he had been in beforehand: Carl Carlson, Lenny Leonard, and Lou the Cop. Sadgasm's songs included "Politically Incorrect" (parody of Nirvana's "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle"), "Margerine" (a parody of Bush's "Glycerine"), and "Shave Me" (a parody of Nirvana's "Rape Me" that is later parodied by Weird Al Yankovic as "Brain Freeze").
