Roger drags family friend and well known classical pianist [[Boris Grabowski]] over to judge Cora. He pronounces "She will never be a great pianist," much to Cora's relief. Mom finally relents and lets Cora marry Roger, and also watches all her frustrated dreams of living vicariously through her daughter shatter like a Hummel figurine in a woodchipper.
