From the "Banjo-Playing Deputy" episode (3 May 1965) of classic TV sitcom The Andy Griffith Show . Jerry Van Dyke plays this one-man band who loses his carnival job. Aunt Bee convinces Andy to make him a deputy while Barney is away. Only, he's even WORSE than Barney, but does bust some of his carny folk friends for purse snatching.
