Nice-guy pianist and arranger who is sad to see nice girl jazz enthusiast Louise fall in with a band of pothead jazz musicians, Drummer Desmond's Hot Cats. When Louise gets sick from too much pot, and Drummer runs out, Akins helps her recover and they fall in love.
From the "I Was a Musician's Girl" story of Charlton comic book Sweethearts #122 (March 1954).
