Green Day analogue in Matt Ruff's 2012 alternate history novel The Mirage. Their songs include "Arabian Idiot," "I Pray by Myself," and "Good Riddance (Enjoy the Virgins)," a "catchy, sarcastic ballad about a suicide bomber" that was track 17 on their album Son of Cush.
