All female, 1980s heavy metal band from Denver, Colorado in the 1990 urban fantasy novel Gossamer Axe by Gael Baudino.
Born in the 6th century Ireland, Chairiste Ní Cummen runs away as a teen to learn the harp. She meets her lover Siudbh (aka Judith) there and together they sneak off to hear the fey bard Orphide, who catches them and traps them in fairyland.
Eventually, Chairiste learns to weave a spell with a harp so they can escape, but Orphide catches them and keeps Judith from escaping.
Because time doesn’t flow the same way in fairyland, it’s now hundreds of years later, and Christa has exited in the French Revolution. She has spent the subsequent decades trying to track down the ever-shifting fairyland gateway and compose a tune strong enough to break through, defeat Orphide, and free Judith.
