Classical music educator, singer, and pianist that appeared in a few of The Captain and the Kids comic strips. He has to teach the sociopathic children of the title, a.k.a. the Katzenjammer Kids.
His name is a play on "sour pickle."
Reprinted in Tip Top Comics #192 (November 1955); originally appearing sometime between 1952 and 1955.
