Mexican composer and ... bullfighter? from the 1947 film Fiesta. Played by Ricardo Montalban. His dad wants him to be a bullfighter, but he quits to study with the director of the Modern Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, Maximino Contreras (Hugo Haas). His twin sister Maria (Esther Williams) takes on his identity.
He composes a Fantasia Mexicana, actually an edited version of Aaron Copland’s El Sálon México.
