Pickett performing the song in 1962

Vocal group consisting of "coffin-bangers" who play a mad scientist's party in Bobby "Boris" Pickett's 1962 novelty hit single "The Monster Mash."

The song also mentions that Igor is "on chains backed by his baying hounds." Later in the song Dracula, an early skeptic ("Whatever happened to my Transylvania Twist?") later joins the band.
