A popular band in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. They play Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000). Despite their name, the band is actually an all-male octet.
In the 2005 film adaptation, only six members are shown. All of them are played by well-known British musicians:
- Jarvis Cocker (Pulp): vocalist Myron Wagtail
- Steve Mackey (Pulp): bassist Donaghan Tremlett
- Phil Selway (Radiohead): drummer Orsino Thruston
- Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead): guitarist Kirley Duke
- Jason Buckle (All Seeing I): guitarist Heathcote Barbary
- Steven Claydon (Add N to (X)): keyboardist/bagpiper Gideon Crumb
They play three songs in the movie: "Do the Hippogriff," "This Is the Night," and "Magic Works."
They made a lenticular collectible card of Heathcote Barbary (with Myron Wagtail) that came with Harry Potter Chocolate Frogs.
