Five wandering musicians featured in several episodes of the kid's TV show ‘mFraggle Rock’m (1983-1987). They appeared in three episodes: "The Minstrels" (first aired 9 May 1983), "Mokey and the Minstrels" (first aired 13 Feb. 1984), and "The Honk of Honks" (first aired 23 March 1987). The group consisted of:
- Cantus (voiced by Jim Henson) on the pipe
- Brio (Terry Angus) on percussion
- Murray (Steve Whitmire) on guitar
- Brool (Tim Gosley) on an odd stringed instrument
- Balsam (Lee Armstrong, Jerry Nelson, and/or Karen Prell) on bongos
Cantus and Brio are Fraggles, but Murray, Brool, and Balsam appear to each be members of different species.
