"Hard-driving rock" cover band featured in (and likely never mentioned again after) the "Covercraft" episode of long-running animated comedy The Simpsons (first aired 23 Nov. 2014). After a Moe Syzlak-instigated fight closes the King Toot's music store, Homer Simpson picks up a bass at the town's music megamart. Other bored dads join in, and they play a series of cabbage-themed festivals. The centerpiece of their stage show is a cover of Sungazer's 1980s power ballad "Hopin' for a Dream."
The band includes:
- Homer Simpson: bass
- Revered Timothy Lovejoy: guitar
- Kirk Van Houten: keyboards and tambourine
- Dr. Julius Hibbert: drums
- Apu Nahasapeemapetilon: vocals
