Indian sitar master in the 1969 Merchant Ivory film The Guru. He's visited by English rock star Tom Pickle who wants to study with him.

It's loosely based on George Harrison of the Beatles visiting India to study with Ravi Shankar.

Played by Utpal Dutt, with sitar played by real sitar master Ustad Vilayat Khan.
