Latin American singer from the movie Swing High, Swing Low (1937). She gets between trumpeter Skid Johnson and his love Maggie King, taking over King's singing when Johnson gets a gig at the El Greco in New York.

Played by Dorothy Lamour.

The film is based on the 1927 play "Burlesque" by George Manker Watters and Arthur Hopkins. It was previously adapted to the big screen as The Dance of Life (1929) and When My Baby Smiles At Me (1948).
