Cacofonix is a lyre-playing character from the Asterix comics series.
Cacofonix (original: Assurancetourix) is the resident bard of the village Asterix and co. live in. He plays various instruments, but usually the lyre, much to the chagrin of the other characters. He is considered one of the worst musicians of his time, commonly leading to him being tied up and gagged during the banquet at the end of most volumes so he can't sing or play.
