Blue-skinned interstellar pop band that stars in the 2003 anime film Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem, an animated adaptation of Daft Punk's 2001 album Discovery.
The quartet are kidnapped, mind-controlled, and forced to work for an unscrupulous record executive. In other words, pretty much what happens to most major label bands, only animated.
