Struggling songwriter from the "I Lived a Lie!" story of comic book Diary Loves #21 (April 1952).
He runs into high school classmate Rita Mellin, who's just moved to New York City. He introduces her to wealthy playboy and party host Harry Collins. Collins points Douglas to a Star Music Corporation dude who gets his song "Dream, Baby, Dream" published.
Collins and Mellin start dating, but Douglas wants to marry Collins, and Collins starts stringing them both along, but it all blows up in her face and she gets neither.
