Mustachioed opera tenor who appears in a seemingly endless series of ads for UK insurance firm GoCompare.com. Compario (portrayed by real singer Wynne Evans) is well known, but mostly hated; a poll by The Daily Telegraph named his ads the most annoying adverts* of the past 15 years.

GoCompare seems to have figured out that people dislike Compario. Recent ads have lampooned his unpopularity—including an epic crotch grab from comedian Jimmy Carr.
